This policy covers Umami Labs Pty Ltd ABN 64 671 717 436 and its related names ('Umami', 'we' or 'us'). Umami is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you regarding how we manage your data.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

What data do we collect?

We collect data inline with our Privacy Policy for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, including using our platform, providing information to your clients and occasional marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.

Data retention

Your data is stored securely on Australian servers, in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

When your data is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years inline with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

Data deletion

If you wish to delete your data from our system, please email hello@umami.clinic from the email linked to your Umami account or reach out via our platform. Please note we will take necessary measures to identify you as the true account holder.

Please be advised we need certain Personal Information to identify you and keep your account safe. Deletion of this data will result in the termination of your account and subscription with us. We cannot refund or prorate any paid subscription fees and this will be forfeited as a result of your account termination.
